BTE Theater in the Classroom

"Penn's Pals", an original piece created and directed by Ensemble member Andrew Hubatsek, will be presented in the library community room on April 30th at 7:15pm. Join three "printer's devils" apprentices at Benjamin Franklin's Philadelphia printing house as they act out the life and adventures of William Penn. Penn's writings, philosophy, and his contribution in influencing the founding fathers as they struggled to create a new country are at the core of this production. Using colonial and contemporary song, children's games, mime, puppetry, audience participation, and BTE's time-tested storytelling techniques, Franklin's boys will illustrate this eventful story all the while giving students a picture of daily life and times in Colonial Philadelphia. This event is free and open to the public with no registration required.
